New Year’s Eve in Jersey

Jersey is one of these destinations that I never really thought I would visit, and I am very grateful that I was given the chance to work there for most of 2023.

This island is incredibly beautiful and the landscape always look very dramatic, no matter the weather.

It is a fantastic place to come for a holiday and it is a must if you enjoy photography. The island offers a wide range of landscape, from busy city center to quiter countryside and beautiful beaches.

There is a lot of places to discover and I am convinced that even after several years on the island you would still discover new places, and your favourite spots would still look new.

I decided to make the most of my days off from work around New Year’s and go back to Jersey for a few days.

Equipped with my recently acquired Fujifilm X-Pro3 and my 18-55mm F2.8-4 lens, I took this opportunity to put this setup to the test and take some photos.

It was cold (freezing!), it was raining (sometimes), it was windy, but most importantly, it was fun.

I can’t get enough of this landscape and I can’t wait to go back to this beautiful island. Even though I have seen these spots several times, in different lights and different weather conditions, I always want to go back.

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 is a great camera, which completely suits my style of shooting and offers a “near” analog experience. It is lightweight and sturdy, which is great for travelling.

Some of the photographs displayed here were taken with my phone, but the majority was taken on my camera.
